Optimize numberpad for data entry on Mac

A standard PC keyboard with numbepad keys enables quick data entry and is an essential accommodation for disabled individuals. Upon entering data in Excel, sheets, or JMP with Windows, pressing the "enter" key on the numpad with the 5th finger allows users to quickly descend columns without moving hands off the number pad.

On MacOS systems, pressing the numbepad "enter" key moves right instead of down and data can not be added efficiently to existing columns. This is currently solved by moving hand to the main Enter key or Down arrow, or utilizing both hands for number entry simultanously.

I'm looking for an option to make the numpad Enter key on mac OS move down a column after entering data.

JMP18.1.1
MacOS 15.4

This will be available in JMP 19. As stated, editing a cell and pressing Enter from the numeric keypad moves to the next cell on the right.  There will be a new preference in Mac for  “Numeric keypad Enter moves down” which will change the behavior so it moves to the cell below. This preference will be disabled as the default.
