Loading combined cells when using Excel add-in

Users are constantly handling messy spreadsheets, many of them containing combined cells as headers.

 

JMP Excel add-in is great for ad-hoc analysis, arguably the best way to introduce the value of JMP to new users.

 

However, it cannot handle combined cells as it happens with the Excel wizard.

 

Minimum example (also attached):

However, when using the Excel Wizard to import the file, it works as expected:
