Journal improve layout functions

It would be wonderful, if the layout design in journals were freely configurable.

e.g. by using free movable boxes that contain the analysis,  data and graphics - almost like desktop publishing. Being able to make flexible designs in journals, they would easier fit to corporate design requirements.
