What inspired this wish list request?
During exploratory analysis, which JMP admirably encourages, we often do the types of analyses that can be well represented both in graphs and tables. In such a situation, some people launch Graph Builder and some do Tabulate, often ending up with similar results with different representation.
Some types of graphs, made with Graph Builder, can theoretically be converted to tables in Tabulate, and vice versa. We often end up creating both graphs and tables, which summarize almost identical information. We sometimes feel like switching between Graph Builder and Tabulate, but this is not easy and we need to start over.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
When a graph can can be represented with a table, give the user an option to have the graph automatically converted to a table, and vice versa.
