It would be nice to have a simple way to edit the inputs from the last platform run. For example, you might run a fit model with a saturated model and then want to remove insignificant terms quickly.

For that specific example the Effect Summary report serves that purpose. You can add and remove terms from the model without going back to the launch dialog.
For most other platforms you'll find a Relaunch Analysis option in the Redo section of the red triangle menu at the top of the report. That will bring the launch dialog back with all the options filled in, allowing for quick changes. Is this the kind of thing you are looking for?
