Do not sort columns alphabetically on left of table automatically (new since JMP18) - give option

HI

We have written all our queries such that the variables/columns are in order of process flow. Since JMP18 the column list on left of tabgle automatically orders those alphabetically.

While this might be good for some it is a big hassle for us.

Would you please revert tis automatic feature and instead create a "button" so that those who want alphabetically can simply do one click and get it.

The order in the list on the left corresponds to the order of the columns in the table.

It is not necessarily alphabetical.
e.g. when you import a csv file, the order matches the order in the input file.

Which source do you use as input for your data?

We have an internal SQL database. Up to JMP17 it kept the order in the databse and since JMP18 (confirmed by JMP) the JMP software overwrites the database order and makes it alphabetically. Currently I pull data with JMP17 and then work with the file in JMP18
