We consider several factors when looking for what ideas to add to JMP. This includes what will have the greatest benefit to our customers based on scope, needs and current resources. Product ideas help us decide what features to work on next. Additionally, we often look to ideas for inspiration on how to add value to developments already in our pipeline or enhancements to new or existing features.

Determining Number of Factors Exploratory in Factor Analysis

Determining the number of factors in exploratory factor analysis is always difficult.  Is it possible to add options to do the parallel analysis (Horn 1965) and minimum average partial (MAP) correlation analysis (Velicer 1976) in the multivariate factor analysis platform?  These more advanced procedures will add valuable information to determine a proper solution to the thorny problem of determining number of factors in exploratory factor analysis.

I am interested in this as well - it seems as though there aren't any analyses available for factor analysis
