Allow selecting range from color gradients

Currently user can select Lightness Range but not the range to use from Color Theme.

 

For example I would like to have common theme for multiple visualizations in same report. Some of my graphs I want to use diverging colors so I can make the ends more visible

and for other variables I'm only interested in either high or low end (and the gradient towards those ends).

 

Currently I can do this, but I don't need the middle point grey and I'm not really interested in the green portion either:

So I would like to be able to select range, which would allow me to easily use colors like this:
