Allow "Disable Pop-ups" Option for Show Group Means in Variability Gauge Chart Preference Platforms

What inspired this wish list request?

Variability gauge charts, with "show group means" enabled in in the preference platform, are the most frequently used tool in our team, because of its clear communication of multifactorial variability and means. We often have three or more factors in a chart, due to the complexity of our problems. Whenever we change the order of the factors in the tree, use a local data filter, or remake a graph with at least three factors, the "show group means" popup checklist appears again, requiring us to click through the popups for every graph in the analysis.

What is the improvement you would like to see?

Please create a checkbox in the preference platform for the variability gauge chart, allowing us to disable popups for this analysis, and default to the full checklist for "show group means." Please add a subchecklist in the analysis dropdown in the rare case we need to manually enable it.

Why is this idea important?

The variability chart is an incredible tool for data visualization and analysis, especially when a problem is multifactorial. Having to click through many popups in one analysis slows down our investigation and communication workflow. Having the option to disable these popups would be a major improvement.

I have the same issue, this would be a great help. I have some variability charts where I have to click through 10+ popups every time I open the chart or re-order the factors.

Thank you @Max_Entropy for submitting this request. We're doing some work with Variability Charts in JMP 2027 v20 - specifically, a new Variability Plot option under the Graph menu. So, the timing is good!
