What inspired this wish list request? If I have a wide or tall graph builder chart and a desired drop zone is not in the screen from the column list or from another drop zone then I have to drag the column to the edge of the screen and SLOWLY have it scroll to the drop zone I want to use. This is very painful.
What is the improvement you would like to see? I'd like to be able to click on a column (either in the column list or a drop zone) and have an option called "Move" that would show a list of all the possible drop zones in graph builder. When you selected a drop zone from the list it would either a: place the column in that drop zone from the column list or b: move the column from its current drop zone into the selected drop zone. If there was already a column there it would replace the column (unless you could have JMP ask what to do with it for x / Group X and y/ Group Y, such as place it above or below the current column being used)
Why is this idea important? Manipulating columns in Graph Builder charts that are wider or taller than the screen cause the ease of the drag and drop functionality to drastically decrease and turns the normally excellent user experience of graph builder into more of a pain.
