JMP’s Fiona Kelly takes a step back from the math to explore concepts around logic and learning. In her presentation, Fiona connects the singular process of learning, knowing, and the methodology of science through the basis of logic, and how awareness of our logic processes can refine our intellectual product. Fiona steps us through Piaget’s Four Stages to Understanding and relates it to “the scaffolding” of the process of learning, then connects it to the Methodology of Science, before taking on a discussion about if there’s really a difference between the two.
