An award-winning researcher to watch: Peter Goos

PeterGoos.pngOn June 14, I’ll welcome one of the top contributors to the research on statistical design and analysis of experiments on a new episode of the Analytically Speaking webcast series.

Peter Goos is a professor of statistics at University of Leuven and University of Antwerp, and a prolific author on split-plot designs and optimal design of experiments. He probably holds a record for most published at such a young age! This graph shows how busy he’s been, with publications shooting up right after he graduated. He’s been busy ever since.

He’s been the sole, lead and contributing author on many publications.

And it’s no surprise to see the terms split-plot, optimal and blocked so prominently featured in this word cloud of his publication titles.

In addition to journal articles, he has co-authored some noteworthy books, two of the most recent are with David Meintrup: Statistics with JMP: Graphs, Descriptive Statistics and Probability and Statistics with JMP: Hypothesis Tests, ANOVA and Regression. 

Peter Goos is no stranger to our show; we’ve hosted him once before to share a case study from the book Optimal Design of Experiments, which he co-authored with our very own Bradley Jones. In this webcast, Peter will discuss:
