This is an addin that can be used for teaching or training in Design of Experiments.  It provide a JMP Dialog that will allow you to

  • launch a specified "virtual trebuchet", utilizing the simulation provided at www.virtualtrebuchet.com
  • record the distance of the simulated projectile launch into a data table, along with the specified factor settings

 

This allows for an easy-to-use, but interactive, experimentation experience.  The subsequent table that is generated using the simulator can then be used for further analysis. 

 

This simulation interface was mentioned in this poster presentation during Discovery Europe 2016.

Thank you for providing the trebuchet simulation as a JMP add-in. I have used it for practical exercise during a course in DOE, and it saved us a lot of time as well as providing the class participants with an appreciation of DOE.
