Text Explorer for Equipment Engineers

We can’t rely on error codes to correctly diagnose equipment problems.  Doing nothing is never an option, and whole units might be changed or replaced at great cost rather than identifying a specific component responsible.  Faults can also reoccur. An intermittent fault affecting a different unit or part of the equipment takes several failures before the true cause is diagnosed and identified.

Below is an example of how such an error can be quickly identified using the JMP Text Explorer.

Great to see how easy it is to import .csv error log information and use Text Explorer to find patterns of broken heaters and to help identify safety issues.  JMP Pro clustering found groups of related messages, which, combined with domain knowledge helped identify problems.
