Sixth data extraction

Let say I have data "12345278" and "12345078" and would like to extract out the sixth, any formula I can use?
Coz if use Right(data,3), then the data will be "278" or "078"

For every sequence have to be extracted out in diff column, so it might be quite inconvenient to use like this: Left(Right(data,3),1)

Any suggested method to do this?
