How do I keep Window list docked and visible

When I work in JMP  like to have the Window list visible at all times on left side of screen - so easier navigation between tables and plots.  For that reason I have selected ' dock the window list in maximised windows' in Preferences.

But despite that the window list on left side of screen sometimes goes blank/ empty for no reason and I then have to click on Window on the top menu to navigate between files. If I restart JMP that usually brings Window List back on left side of screen.

Does anyone know a fix for this - to stop the docked Window list suddenly appearing empty?

You could try contacting JMP Support, but the support might be somewhat limited (if there is a bug) as you are using older version of JMP.  There could possibly some sort of scripting/shortcut solution which would at least let you "reset" the docked sidebar easily, but I can only test it with JMP18/JMP19.
