Difference between the parallelism F test and Chi-square test

Hello !

I want to test the parallelism between two 4pl curves but I do not understand what the difference is between the F test and the Chi square test? The F test provides a p-value that is superior to 0.05 while the chi-square test does the opposite. I assume I cannot just pick one.

I was also wondering if it was possible to include the variability due to the random error when analysing 4 pl curves with the equivalence test.

Thank you for your response !

Re: Difference between the parallelism F test and Chi-square test

The two tests are provided for historical consistency. The basis for each test is described in the Fit Curve documentation. They are different tests, so they will likely yield different p-values.

Statistical errors are considered in the equivalence test.
