Can I edit the text for group x and group y labels?

I am creating a graph that uses group x and group y. Is it possible to edit the text, the actual words? JMP uses the values from the data table column but I would like to add some additional information eg count of occurrences and percent of total. So I'd like group y label to read "Bald Cypress, N= 64, 76.56%" and the same for Red Maple and Swamp White Oak.

There's at least one roundabout way to do this using the Value Lables column property.
