Adding ANOVA p-values or significance markers to a longitudinal heatmap

Hi everyone,

I am working with a longitudinal plant physiology dataset and would like to visualize the results in a heatmap.

The heatmap displays the mean values (or relative changes) of several physiological parameters across different time points (stress, recovery, etc.).

In addition to the color scale, I would like to indicate whether the differences between time points are statistically significant based on an ANOVA (and potentially post-hoc comparisons).

My goal is something similar to:

  • Heatmap color = parameter value or effect size.
  • Cell annotation = p-value, significance stars (*, **, ***), or group letters from post-hoc tests.
Specifically, I would like to represent temporal differences among repeated measurements, where color represents the magnitude of the response and the annotation indicates the statistical significance of the time effect or pairwise comparisons between time points.

Is there a way in JMP (preferably using Graph Builder) to overlay statistical significance information on a heatmap?

Has anyone implemented a similar visualization for longitudinal or repeated-measures data?

Thanks in advance!
