Transition from hospitalization treatment to local life is being promoted in psychiatry medical treatment in Japan, but the transition and establishment of the area of long-term inpatients has not progressed sufficiently, and improvement of local living environment is a problem.Community integration is a concept expressing the regional living environment that patients themselves can take, and it is mentioned as a target of community life abroad. The purpose of this research is to find useful factors for improving community integration of people living in community-living mentally disabled.

For the research method, we conducted a self-administered questionnaire survey for people living in the community. In order to clarify the structure of community integration using JMP 13.2.0 (SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, USA), we conducted multiple regression analysis with input of individual factors and environmental factors. At that time, in order to find out the characteristics of the population, layers were extracted by partition analysis, and multiple regression analysis was performed for each layer. In interpreting the nonstandardized partial regression coefficients, we devised the handling of variables to be introduced so as not to increase the VIF.

By performing stratified multiple regression analysis, factors common to the strata and specific factors were found in each stratum, and useful knowledge was obtained.
