My Scripting Journey: From Simple and Static to End-to-End and Dynamic

My Scripting Journey: From Simple and Static to End-to-End and Dynamic

Cheryl E. Johnson, Vice President and Operations Research Analyst, Bank of America

There are many steps between the couch and a completed marathon. Similarly, automating a complicated analysis with JMP scripting is a journey. In this case, the challenge was to provide rapid prototyping of dashboard-style metrics with the assurance of reproducibility in subsequent iterations as requirements evolved. The system had to be flexible, able to generate multiple tables and perform separate analyses, and able to provide meaningful and interactive graphics to communicate results. This session will outline the techniques used to answer this challenge, while providing code snippets that can be used to transform a simple script into a flexible one for future use.
