Change in the EDIT ability for Discussion entries?

I added a response to a members question, and I left out the JSL that I had intended to include.  When I went back to edit the response, there was no  JSL icon available to add the script into.  I had to add it in as an HTML entry under the Add Code icon.

Interesting...I'm not seeing this behavior.

Can you try again and post a screen shot of what you're seeing?

Re: Change in the EDIT ability for Discussion entries?

I see it. The problem occurs when editing a reply to a topic, not when editing the topic itself.

This is related to updating to the latest Forums version. The new version allows for inline and threaded replies. While we are not currently enabling threaded replies, it seems the inline reply is used when editing. The inline reply editor is "different" than ones used in other areas of the Community (at least from what I gather from support discussions), which is why the JSL button is not shown.

I have opened a support ticket with the vendor.

The JSL button is now available again when editing a reply.

I'm sure @Ryan_Gilmore is looking at it. In the meantime, you can drag/drop images into the editor.

OK.........but I am now feeling pretty dumb......I totally missed the drag and drop capability that is now available.  "Now Available"....or  has it always been there?

It's been there for a while but unless you happened to try dragging something it's not obvious. No worries!

Yes, I saw that the Insert Photo button is not working today too. I've opened a ticket with Khoros support.

Re: Change in the EDIT ability for Discussion entries?

We have a solution. It requires a code change. Unfortunately, we are unable to push any new changes until early July due to translation work being done.
