Workflow Builder: From Time Series to Product Profile (2026-EU-30MP-2834)

A continuous furnace operates with multiple zones, each monitored by thermocouples that accurately measure zone temperatures. As products move through the furnace, they experience a specific temperature profile. While the MES/SCADA system records zone temperatures and timestamps, it does not directly capture the temperature profile experienced by each product.
 

In this presentation, I outline the case and its challenges, and demonstrate how Workflow Builder can efficiently convert furnace time series data into detailed product temperature profiles. Workflow Builder is ideally suited for this task, offering flexible handling of raw time series files and enabling user interaction throughout the process.
 

In the second part of the presentation, I showcase Functional Data Explorer, applying it to various product profiles. This approach provides deeper process insights and opens up opportunities for optimizing temperature profiles, ultimately enhancing product quality and process efficiency.
