Pilar Gomez-Jimenez works as a principal scientist in the speciality chemical company Johnson Matthey. She has a master’s degree and a PhD in chemical engineering, and she has been working in research and development of catalysts and materials for 17 years. She is enthusiastic about the application of DOE in this process and of the DOE mindset. She advocates that every scientist and engineer can apply DOE and advanced data analytics thanks to JMP; a practical understanding of the tools is the only requirement, and that can be acquired with practical support and practice. This experience led to her current role, extending the use of DOE and advanced data analytics through training, support and method development within Johnson Matthey, working closely with JMP representatives.
