Dr. Gong Chen currently serves as the Director of the Protein Production I Department at GenScript, overseeing mammalian protein R&D, production and quality control teams. He leads platform upgrades, analytical method development, and the implementation of digital and automation technologies. With over 10 years of experience in biopharmaceutical process development, Dr. Chen specializes in protein expression, process optimization, and technology transfer. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University and was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Riverside. His research has been published in leading international journals, spanning bioprocess development, molecular simulation, and innovative cell culture technologies.
