Byron Wingerd is the Life Sciences JMP Systems Engineer, working to help people understand how data science and statistics can be applied to learn more from data to make better decisions faster. Previously, he worked as a Process Engineer for Merck and as a Principal Scientist for Emergent BioSolutions, where he used Six Sigma methodology to improve vaccine manufacturing processes. Wingerd holds a Ph.D. in microbiology and cell and molecular biology from Michigan State University.
