Using Multivariate Methods to Explore Data

Learn to use statistical tools to explore and describe multidimensional data. Quickly and easily identify correlations between variables. Uncover and remove outliers to prevent them from biasing results, or extract them for further investigation. Group observations that are most similar to each other, and reduce the number of variables in a dataset to describe features in the data and simplify subsequent analyses.

Highly recommend this presentation, as he makes an excellent case for using multivariate approaches and shows how easily they can be undertaken in JMP.

Hi Phil,

Quick question. For the multivariate correlation matrix, it assumes a normal distribution, correct? So, do we need to transform any non-normal distribution before we run the analysis? Thank you..!
