Many critics have recognized that the world is currently undergoing the fourth industrial revolution, which is Industry 4.0.Water and steam power brought about the first industrial revolution, production lines and electricity brought about the second revolution, and computers and automation brought about the third revolution.The fourth industrial revolution is the information revolution brought about by big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cyber-physical systems.In other words, Industry 4.0 connects the physical world with the information / big data world.This integration poses severe challenges for future development.The physical world has a long history in the evolution of system improvement, including Frederick Taylor's "Scientific Management", Total Quality Management, ISO-9000 and Lean Six Sigma.While using these methods, the online world is paying more attention to big data analysis, also known as data science.In light of this, how should companies in the era of Industry 4.0 think and implement improvements? Are the methods applied in the physical world still valuable?If so, how should data science be integrated with these methods?In the lecture, he will explain why answering these questions is crucial to the success of Industry 4.0. At the same time, he will point out a development path called comprehensive improvement and explain why this path for Industry 4.0 is an inevitable stage of the improvement .
