Script Happens: Making JMP Scripting Language Learning Easy (2026-EU-30MP-2773)
Learning a new programming language can be intimidating, but JMP provides tools for making this process easier. This talk discusses saving a script, the scripting index, the new JMP Assistant add-in, and integrating with Python.
Whether you are learning JSL for the first time or learning a new platform, saving a script from a visualization or data table provides a great first step to inspecting the syntax. The JMP Scripting Index takes this even further, allowing you to search for interactive scripting examples. If you know what type of analysis you want to do but are unsure where to start in JMP, the new JMP Assistant add-in returns JSL code based on prompts from the user. Lastly, integration with Python and other programming languages expands the capabilities of JMP.
