IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. develops and delivers diagnostic solutions for companion animals, livestock, poultry, water testing, and dairy markets. Ensuring high‑quality, reliable diagnostic results requires rigorous evaluation of instrument accuracy and precision. This poster presents a case study on developing a JMP add‑in to streamline measurement agreement analyses and support timely decision making.

The case study evaluates measurement agreement between a legacy instrument and its successor to ensure continuity and reliability during instrument replacement, comparing performance across three species and 23 analytes per species. The add‑in integrates equivalence testing, least squares models, orthogonal regression, Passing–Bablok regression, and Bland–Altman analysis to automate the workflow and eliminate repetitive point‑and‑click operations.

The pros and cons of different modeling approaches are also examined. Another challenge in the measurement agreement analysis was the presence of detection‑limit issues, which were effectively addressed using JMP’s generalized regression platform to handle censored data. By leveraging JMP’s capabilities, we achieved more efficient and robust analyses to support high‑quality diagnostic performance.
