A system has been developed that uses JMP® version 9 to analyze drug safety data. Using enhanced and easy to understand data manipulation and visualization techniques, the system allows medically trained personnel to explore safety data and identify adverse events of interest for a given drug. Several new features in JMP 9 provided significant advantages, including add-ins for application distribution, cell colorization and separate windows for each object. The advantages of using JMP over a previous system include computational speed, interactivity including linking between objects, drill-down to underlying data, data filtering and the ability to create user-friendly interfaces.
