Markus Gershater
Markus Gershater is CEO, Chief Scientific Officer, and Co-Founder of Synthace, where he leads the company’s mission to modernize biological experimentation through software and automation. Gershater founded the company in 2011 as a synthetic biology venture and has since focused on moving the experimental cycle into the cloud to reduce manual, error-prone lab work and enable more efficient, data-driven research. Gershater holds a doctorate in plant biochemistry from Durham University. He previously served as a research associate in synthetic biology at University College London and as a biotransformation scientist at Novacta Biosystems.
