Tips for energizing your virtual communications
From experienced online presenters to novices still not quite comfortable with speaking into a camera, there are always techniques to improve the effectiveness of virtual communications. The following video offers a variety of useful tips on how to deliver online presentations with confidence and credibility.
Uploading your presentation materials
You will have a presentation page and a speaker page unique to you within the Discovery Summit site. This is where you will need to upload your presentation materials and headshot.
- Add your headshot to your speaker page.
- Upload presentation materials prior to your scheduled recording date.
- Do not include company information in your presentation materials; all PowerPoint presentations should be in a PDF format.
- If you do not currently have a JMP User Community ID please create one now (you will be prompted to create a SAS profile) and send to Kirsten Crannell.

Additional guidelines for presenters:
- You may submit your presentation file in any format (for example, PDF or JMP journal).
- If you choose PowerPoint, we recommend that you use your organization's own PowerPoint template and upload as a PDF. Alternatively, you are welcome to use this Discovery Summit template.
- Include a title slide in your slide deck.
- You are welcome to submit a paper corresponding to your presentation. Past experience has shown that this provides the highest value for attendees.
- JMP is pronounced "jump," not "J-M-P." And SAS is pronounced "sass," not "S-A-S."
