Led by JMP Education, these 75-minute workshops are a rare opportunity for you to go in-depth on specific topics with the experts themselves. You’ll learn about some of the core tenets of JMP and see the software in action.

Bring a laptop with JMP (or JMP Pro) 17 or 18 installed to get the most benefit from these hands-on sessions.

Each workshop is an additional $100 and must be added at the time of registration. Seats are limited, so be sure to secure your spot as soon as possible.

  • Going Further with Workflow Builder

    Workshop

Workflow Builder is a fantastic tool for recording and reproducing the steps of a workflow. You don’t have to know anything about the JMP Scripting Language to use it – just start recording, do your work, and save it! But with a little knowledge of JSL, you can get even more out of this tool. This workshop is intended for JMP users with some basic knowledge of the scripting language who want to learn about using Workflow Builder, as well as how to edit and customize a workflow with JSL.

  • Designing Experiments with Hard-to-Change Factors

    Workshop

Master the art of experimental design in challenging scenarios in this workshop. Discover how JMP Custom Design empowers you to tackle real-world industrial problems where factors are difficult to change between runs. Through an engaging case study, learn to create split plot designs, optimize randomization, and analyze data with precision using restricted maximum likelihood estimation (REML). Ideal for intermediate to advanced JMP users, this workshop builds on your knowledge of ANOVA, regression, and DOE principles.

  • Installing and Using a GIT repository for Version Control in JSL Development

    Workshop

Many JMP scripters are interested in automating tasks and supporting colleagues. Their scripts are important and deserve a safe development environment. Version control systems help keep track of the development, as well as maintain stable versions of scripts or entire projects. GIT is one of the most popular tools. It is free, open source, and easy to use. Version control is helpful for single scripts and large projects alike and should become a standard in JMP scripting.

    In this course, participants:

    • Will install a GIT environment installed on their computers.
    • Run a JSL project with GIT.
    • Install a “remote” server for cooperation within teams.
    • Run a cooperative development project.
    • Know how to discuss their needs with their company's IT.
    • Create a professional base for their further development.

  • Understanding a Collection of Curves through Functional Decomposition: FDE

    Workshop

The Functional Data Explorer (FDE) in JMP Pro is a powerful tool for analyzing data that are curves or functions. New in JMP Pro 18, FDE adds the ability to do automatic peak detection and more function decompositions, such as the penalized singular value decomposition and multivariate curve resolution. These new capabilities make FDE even more powerful for analyzing curves, but for spectral data in particular. In this workshop, we briefly introduce the Functional Data Explorer platform before taking a closer look at the newest features.
