The following is a step-by-step guide for sites that want to provide their users with instructions to install JMP® on their machines.
Note: This JMP Note is not intended to address any environmental or system-related issues that might arise during installation. If any deviations are encountered during the installation, verify whether you are running a version of JMP supported by your operating system as listed in theJMP System Requirements (Macintosh). Otherwise, contact your IT department. You can also contact JMP Technical Support.
Download the JMP installer to your computer from my.jmp.com.

A new window will open displaying the JMP.pkg file. Double-click the .pkg file to begin the installation.
Welcome to the JMP Installer will display in the Introduction window. Click Continue.
Next, review the Software License Agreement terms and select Continue.
Click Agree if you wish to proceed with the installation.
Click Continue at Installation Type.
The installer will show you how much space the JMP installer will use on your disk. To write the installation files to an alternate disk, click Change Install Location. To install the installation files to the default disk, click Install.
You will be prompted to enter a username and password. If your credentials do not allow you to proceed with the installation, then contact your IT department.
The Installing JMP 18 window will appear showing the progress of the installation.
The Summary window will appear stating The installation was successful. Click Close.
You will need to authorize your JMP software at launch. See Opening JMP for the First Time for the steps to authorize JMP.
