Kaiser Fung is an influential author, blogger and educator in data visualization and business analytics. He is founder of Principal Analytics Prep, a next-generation bootcamp that opens the door to new careers in data analytics, and a member of the Harvard Business School Startup Studio in New York City. He was the founding director of the Master of Science in Applied Analytics at Columbia University. Previously, he held leadership positions in business analytics at various companies, including American Express, SiriusXM Radio and Vimeo. Kaiser is the creator of Junk Charts, a leading blog on data visualization, as well as the author of two books on statistical thinking, Numbers Rule Your World and Numbersense. His commentary on statistics and data visualization has been featured in Harvard Business Review, The Daily Beast, American Scientist, Wired, FiveThirtyEight, Slate, Financial Times, and CNN. He has developed and taught data visualization courses at Columbia Business School and New York University, where he designed the Certificate in Data Visualization and Analytics. Kaiser holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, in addition to degrees in engineering and statistics from Princeton and Cambridge Universities.
