Pilar Gomez-Jimenez is a Senior Principal Scientist at the speciality chemical company Johnson Matthey. She has a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering and extensive experience in research and development of catalysts and materials. She is enthusiastic about the application of DOE in this process and of the DOE mindset. She advocates that, thanks to JMP, every scientist and engineer can apply DOE and advanced data analytics. All that’s needed is a practical understanding of the tools, which can be acquired with practical support and practice. This experience led to her current role, extending the use of DOE and advanced data analytics through training, support, and method development within Johnson Matthey, working closely with JMP representatives.
