This year there was a fierce battle for the third place spot of the JMP Discovery Summit 2018 books bestseller list.

In a nail-biting finish, Wendy Murphrey and Rosemary Lucas, authors of Jump into JMP Scripting, Second Edition, narrowly beat Brenda and Jose Ramirez's book Douglas Montgomery's Introduction to Statistical Quality Control: A JMP Companion.

Initially, it looked as if it was going to be crowded on the podium, with five top performers all tied for third place. But post-conference sales thinned out the field and bumped three titles to a joint fourth-place finish, leaving just two tied at third.

The top sellers are as follows:

  1. Jump into JMP Scripting, Second Edition
  2. Douglas Montgomery's Introduction to Statistical Quality Control: A JMP Companion
  3. JSL Companion: Applications of the JMP Scripting Language, Second Edition and Pharmaceutical Quality by Design Using JMP: Solving Product Development and Manufacturing Problems (tied for 3rd)
  4. Fundamentals of Predictive Analytics with JMP, Second EditionJMP Start Statistics: A Guide to Statistics and Data Analysis Using JMP, Sixth Edition; and Preparing Data for Analysis with JMP (tied for 4th)
  5. Data Management and Analysis Using JMP: Health Care Case Studies

Congratulations to Wendy and Rosemary! Theirs is a great book that teaches beginner scripters how to take advantage of the robust JMP Scripting Language (JSL) using step-by-step instructions and real-world situations. The authors demonstrate how JSL offers the freedom to create scripts from the very simple and specific to the most generic and complex.

And thank you to all who visited the SAS Press booth on campus to discuss book ideas, ask questions, and buy books! It was lovely to meet you all!
