How does analyses take outliers into consideration?

In unclean data there will most likely be data outliers as a result of simple errors such as a mix up of units at the investigational sites. When running an analysis that includes statistical considerations such as Multivariate Inliers and Outliers, how does this type of analysis include and evaluate these data points?

  1. Are outliers included with the same statistical power in the calculation?
  2. Is the P-value influenced similarly by one big outlier and several smaller?

Re: How does analyses take outliers into consideration?

Analyses include all data points (including outliers) in calculating any test statistics.
