At a recent meeting with Alan Brown of Syngenta, one of the world’s leading agribusinesses, he described how his role has evolved from being a chemist into being a global statistical troubleshooter.
In this role, Alan helps other parts of Syngenta, notably production, to increase yields and resolve problems through his five-step “Data into Action Cycle.” In a typical problem, he will receive a large amount of process data, which he analyses and visualises using JMP Pro to turn it into information. Using his experience of the agribusiness and chemical domains, he is able to turn this into knowledge, which through discussion with the process experts is used to gain understanding that can lead to action to resolve the problem.
Come and see Alan showing a number of scenarios of how he uses JMP Pro to move through the “Data into Action Cycle” on Wednesday 14 September at the Discovery Summit and on Wednesday 5 October at the JMP UK User Forum.
