Mid-Atlantic JMP Users Group Has Formed

The first meeting of the newly formed Mid-Atlantic JMP Users Group will be Sept. 16 at Johns Hopkins University in Laurel, Maryland.

That was one of the announcements at the Discovery 2008 conference (formerly known as the JMP Users Conference) here in Cary, NC, this week.

The new group brings together JMP users from DC and five states: Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia.

Manny Uy, PhD -- who is Principal Professional Chemist at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory -- is organizing the September meeting. Feel free to contact him via e-mail about opportunities to get involved.

John Sall, Executive Vice President of SAS and head of the JMP division, will be at the mid-Atlantic group meeting to share what's new in JMP 8. We'll post registration information for the meeting soon. Meanwhile, you can check out information about other users groups on the JMP Web site.

By the way, Dr. Uy is also scheduled to speak at the Innovators' Summit in San Francisco on Sept. 25.
