In a nutshell, CSR involves a wide range of initiatives that a company undertakes to make a positive difference in the world. It's about committing to actions that not only benefit consumers, but also society and the environment.
Why does CSR matter?
At JMP, we aren’t just analyzing data; we’re cultivating change. As an established – yet growing – business in an evolving industry, we have the power to initiate change. Participating in different CSR initiatives is a stepping stone to instigating change beyond our exceptional software.
CSR is close to our hearts at JMP, reflecting our values and dedication to creating lasting change beyond just what our software can do. At JMP, being innovative doesn't just apply to our software; it also drives our approach to CSR, allowing us to develop creative and effective solutions for social and environmental challenges. Similarly, being helpful at JMP means actively contributing to societal well-being and adding value to those around us in various ways, such as developing free resources for anyone learning statistics. Along with being helpful, as a brand, we work on consistently showing up for the communities we serve by being interactive. For us, being interactive means understanding the needs of those around us and collaborating to find impactful solutions, whether it’s volunteering at a food bank in Raleigh or picking up trash in Tokyo.
We pride ourselves on being a trusted data analytics brand and hope to extend that trust through our CSR efforts by demonstrating our commitment to making a positive impact on society. Additionally, being approachable is another cornerstone of JMP, ensuring our CSR initiatives are inclusive and accessible to everyone. We even encourage our customers to pitch in by including opportunities for them to donate socks to homeless shelters at our various user conferences around the world.

Some of our initiatives involve donating time to local charities, participating in global sustainability initiatives, fighting social inequities such as discrimination and racial equality, and supporting LGBTQ+ rights and inclusion.
