Discovery Summit attendees: The mobile app for the conference is ready for you to download it! This year we've got an app for Android smartphones as well as for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. And if you don't have one of these devices, you can use the mobile web version of the app on your smartphone, tablet or laptop.
The JMP Discovery Summit 2013 mobile app lets you:
Personalize your conference agenda.
Message fellow attendees.
Identify the JMP developer who can best answer your questions.
Provide feedback to the conference steering committee by rating sessions and leaving comments.
Earn badges toward a conference prize by checking in to conference sessions. For example, check in to three data visualization sessions, you earn the Data Whiz badge in the badge. You check in by using the "check-in" button for a session listed in the app. You can see how you are doing compared with other attendees on the Leaderboard. Earn five badges of any kind, and win a prize.
Here's how to get the Discovery Summit 2013 mobile app:
iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users: Search "JMP Summit" on the Apple App Store.
Android users: Search "JMP Summit" on the Google Play Store.
Blackberry, Windows, computer browsers and others: Use your smartphones/laptops to visit jmp.com/mobileapp.
How to get started with the app
The app is password-protected so that only attendees can use the app. Once you launch the app, click the Login button. You will need to establish a password. Enter the email that you used to register for the conference for this process and use the "Email Password" button. You will receive an email that will enable you to set a password. Click the link in that email and set a password. Return to app and enter your email and password. You will only have to do this once.
