Our World Statistics Day conversations have been a great reminder of how much statistics can inform our lives. Do you have an example of how statistics has made a difference in your life? Share your story with the Community!
The JMP Academic Team is proud to announce the initial release of the JMP Learning Library on our Web site. We created the Learning Library to provide resources for professors and for students who are taking introductory statistics courses. Of course, if you are an old timer like me, you can use the Learning Library if you need a refresher on a topic as well.
The Learning Library is organized into the categories included in most introductory statistics textbooks.
Under each category, you will find two types of files. The first is a one-page guide that contains all the pertinent information for that topic in a concise one-page layout. The second is a tutorial that includes both data and step-by-step instructions for that topic. For example, if you click on Graphical Displays and Summaries, you will see a whole list of topics. The first two are shown in the picture below.
For the first two – Bar Charts and Frequency Distributions, and Pareto Plots and Pie Charts – we have included both a one-page guide and a tutorial. Just click on either the icon for the one-page guide or the icon for the tutorial.
We have also included on the right-hand side of the page a link to a quick guide for both the standard version of JMP and the Student Edition.
The Academic Team will be adding additional resources and topics to the Learning Library as time permits. Please help us in expanding the Learning Library by sending us suggestions and comments.
