Elea McDonnell Feit is the guest on Analytically Speaking for August and will discuss experimentation.Elea McDonnell Feit is the guest on Analytically Speaking for August and will discuss experimentation. Our featured guest for the Aug. 16 episode of Analytically Speaking is one you won’t want to miss. Elea McDonnell Feit is currently Assistant Professor of Marketing at Drexel University. Her degrees in math, engineering, and marketing contribute to her unique perspective, enabling her to take on a wide variety of challenges.

She has developed new quantitative methods and put them into practice in different industries and applications. She’s built an academic-industry partnership program and collaborated with organizations to solve challenging problems (with challenging data). And her research is featured in top-tier journals.

In addition, Elea advocates ongoing learning for practitioners to keep apprised of new methods and best practices, regularly teaching workshops and tutorials. She is active in practitioner conferences and has co-authored the very popular and highly rated book, R for Marketing Research and Analytics. She has another book in the works on business experiments that we are looking forward to seeing.

"You need to learn two things: writing and statistics." That's the guidance her mother gave her and that she took to heart. And it's good advice for all.

Given her areas of interest, you can expect to hear more about the growing importance of experimentation in business, the relevance of marketing analytics to many (including engineers), choice modeling, the need for more data detectives, and more. Please join us to hear more from this accomplished expert. If Aug. 16 isn’t convenient to watch the conversation with Elea, you can always catch the archived version along with other episodes of Analytically Speaking whenever you like.
