OSIsoft-PI concatenator

Starting with JMP 17, users have a native connection to historians such as OSIsoft-PI to collect tag measurements from their processes.

Once the data is retrieved, in the form of an individual table per tag

click on the “OSIsoft_PI_concatenator” add-in to join all tables (horizontal concatenation) and gather all Tag measurements in a single data table,

so that processes can be visualized, monitored and/or analyzed.

Select either

  • All timestamps: to gather all measurements
  • or Reduced timestamps (to aligned timestamps only): to gather values where all Tags have a measurement for a given timestamp.

Selecting All timestamps

will join all timestamps for all Tag measurements even those with a missing value for some tags, as shown below:

note: 15,000 rows corresponding to the 15,000 timestamps collected.

By selecting Reduced timestamps (to aligned timestamps only)

all measurements of the Tags that have an aligned timestamp will be attached, as shown below:

note: 2,281 rows corresponding to timestamps with values for each Tag.
