Re: save a presentation with variable name

You're trying to save a JMP table as a PowerPoint?  I'm not sure Save Presentation is a valid message for JMP data tables.  It is intended work with report windows to save the graphs and tables in the report to a PowerPoint.  See the Scripting Index for details.

However, if you really want to do that, you can get the data table as a report object and then use Save Presentation.  If you only have 1 column selected, it will just print that column to the presentation:

:A_B << Set Selected(1);
rpt = dt << Get As Report;
rpt << Save Presentation("$TEMP/Table.pptx");
Open("$TEMP/Table.pptx");

Thanks. I have already created a journal by

dt << Journal;

and then dt << Save Presentation("name");  where name is A_B
