predictor screening

Hi,

After running predictor screening the out put has a column named contribution , portion and rank . Is there any unit for contribution ? Is this % is so why the some of all the contributions doest end up to 100?

The Predictor Screening platform uses bootstrap forests for models. The contribution of each predictor is determined by this model. The description in JMP Help for bootstrap forests says:

 

Column Contributions
Displays a report that shows each input column’s contribution to the fit. The report also shows:
The total number of splits defined by a column.
The total G2 (for a categorical response) or SS, sum of squares (for a continuous response), attributed to the column.
A bar chart of G2 or SS.
The proportion of G2 or SS attributed to the column.
