I wrote a script to do an ANOVA on several variables, each as a function of three factors. The platform is Fit Model using a standard OLS. I'm using JMP 9 on a Vista computer. I'm particularly interested in the connecting letter displays in the resulting report. Since there are several ANOVAs, there are as many connecting letter displays. If I right click on any one of them, I have the option to create a combined data table. This is perfect for my problem. However, I can't find a scripting command to do this as part of a script. How can I change any display table in a report to a combined data table in a script?
For what it's worth, you may well end up doing something like the following, which is the sort of process I go through when I'm trying to extract one specific type of output from a platform which can supply far more than I actually need. In the following example, I'm trying to extract three tables of connecting letter displays from the Fit Model platform when analysing exactly three response variables called "Overall Liking", "Taste Liking" and "Appearance Liking", which are three different columns in a data table which has already been loaded into JMP:
Sorry - I forgot to mention: to capture the script that is generated by running the Fit Model platform from the main menu, just click on the red arrow next to the "Least Squares Fit" bar at the top of the output window, and from the resulting drop-down menu select Script | Save Script to Script Window. You can then tinker with the script to make any changes you need before simply copying it into the window in which you're developing your own version of it. For example, you'd probably eventually want to modify it so that the number and names of the columns to be analysed and/or the main effects to be incorporated into the ANOVA are entered from a menu by the user, as opposed to being effectively hard-coded.
