Sample Name, Obs1, Obs2, Obs3, Obs4, Obs5

I try to create a XBar chart using Analyze|Quality and Process|Control Chart|Xbar

I fill in:

Process: Obs1, Obs2, Obs3, Obs4, Obs5

Sample Label: Sample Name

Sample Size: Checked Sample grouped by Sample Label

I get the message:

All samples have sample size equal to 1. XBar charts require sample size greater than 1. IR Charts may be more appropriate.

I want an XBar chart using sample means of Obs1-5, in group by sample name but it keeps giving me IR charts on each Obs.

What am I missing?

You'll need to have your measurements in a single column.

You can use Tables->Stack to stack your Obs1-6 columns into one column.

Here's a video that shows the technique.

Worked perfect, and the results coincided with Minitab. Thank you!
